The Scheduler mirrors the testbed's slicing capabilities. Until now, we have enabled spectrum slicing support on NITOS. By that, we mean that various users may use the testbed at the same time, without interfering with each other, since each one of them will be using different spectrum. This spectrum is declared by each user during the reservation process. The scheduler does not allow for a user to choose any channel that has been chosen by another user.
NITOS is a testbed which is not sited in a single room; its nodes are laying in a six-floor building, while we are studying its extension to other buildings. Therefore, NITOS topology would not be realistically represented on a two dimension shape; this is why the scheduler is letting the user to see the exact position of each node in the building.
Although NITOS is supporting spectrum slicing, the testbed reservation procedure has been simplified to the user that visits our site for the first time. Nevertheless, we are giving a detailed tutorial on how reservation is done. We recommend that you first read the instructions which will guide you through the reservation process. Please note that in order to use the Scheduler you need to be a registered user of the NITOS Testbed. So, if you do not have an account yet, you can create a new one right now by clicking Create an account on the top right corner of your page.
If you are a registered user, please log in and use the NITOS Scheduler in order to book your nodes, right now!
Enjoy!
