Web cameras

15 of the wireless NITLab nodes are equipped with Logitech C120 USB web-cameras, capable of up to 30 fps video capture (640x480 pixels). This setup enables video-related research, such as real time services and QoS provision for video in wireless networks.

NITLab is an outdoor testbed, so web cameras need to be protected by waterproof boxes that also enable visibility, while preventing water damage. Some snapshots of NITLab web cameras installation follow.

Furthermore, there is an OMF scenario for using NITLab web cameras in synergy with Zoneminder.
